ACME General Corp. establishes technology development center at YBI

Youngstown, OH – Youngstown Business Incubator (YBI) is announcing that the City of Youngstown, with the support of U.S. Representative Tim Ryan, is welcoming defense innovation firm ACME General Corp. to work on next-generation software platforms and tools in support of development of next-generation national security and defense technologies.

According to Barb Ewing, YBI CEO, “Having ACME General located on our campus is a true milestone for our organization. ACME is an outstanding player in the defense industry. The fact that they want to be part of the community that we’re building in Youngstown underscores the importance of the ecosystem that we’re creating with our partners at America Makes, Advanced Manufacturing and Applied Research Innovation Institute (AMARII), Youngstown State U, and further afield, in El Paso, Texas.”

ACME General’s expansion into Northeast Ohio adds to their existing offices in New York, New York, Austin, Texas, and Morgantown, West Virginia and positions the company for future growth in the region. ACME General’s CEO David Bonfili said, “Our goal is to invest in communities with a demonstrated commitment to supporting innovative companies like ours. The talent available in Youngstown and the surrounding area is truly a game-changer for us. We are deeply grateful to Congressman Ryan for his support.”
